Public Justice Speakers Educate and Inspire Lawyers, Law Students and Public Interest Advocates

Our staff members and activists have been and will be educating audiences of trial attorneys, law students, and allied public interest groups about the vital role of the civil justice system and Public Justice’s efforts to keep the courthouse doors open for everyone. October 26, 2007 – The Future of Class Action Litigation in America – Washington, D.C.

Staff Attorney Paul Bland will speak on the "Classwide Arbitration: Fiction, Reality, or Nightmare?" Panel from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. The event will be held at the Ritz Carlton.

June 12, 2007 – Paul Bland's testimony to the Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law of the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on the Judiciary Washington, DC

Public Justice Staff Attorney Paul Bland's testimony to the Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law of the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on the Judiciary for a June 12, 2007 Hearing on "Mandatory Binding Arbitration Agreements:  Are They Fair to Consumers?"  The testimony describes Public Justice's study and experience of problems that frequently arise in the abuse of mandatory arbitration agreements in consumer and employment cases.
